Navigating the future of private credit through local expertise
“Today, investors are drawn to credit not only because of the higher yields but also because they can secure a top position in the capital structure—a position that is inherently attractive in a still uncertain economic climate.”
“Our approach at Arrow Global has always been grounded in utilising local expertise to navigate complex sectors. Whether it’s asset-based or real estate credit, the importance of understanding the complexity of each local market cannot be emphasised enough.”
“Looking forward, I am confident that Arrow Global’s focus on local expertise will continue to set us apart…our success will be driven by our ability to understand and respond to the unique challenges and opportunities of each local market.”
In the October edition of Alternative Credit Investor, Zach Lewy, CEO and Chief Investment Officer of Arrow Global, discusses the evolving landscape of private credit and the crucial role of local expertise in capitalising on new opportunities. As traditional banks reduce lending due to regulatory constraints and sustained high interest rates, Zach sees a unique opening for private credit investors who can navigate these complexities with informed, market-specific strategies.
While some asset classes face headwinds, Zach identifies more resilient sectors, including asset-backed finance and real estate credit. He emphasises the potential in sectors like Southern European hospitality, driven by changing travel and work trends, and asset-based finance across diverse European jurisdictions, where local knowledge is key to unlocking value.
Zach argues that a strategic focus on deep local expertise and a selective, disciplined investment approach will be essential for navigating this dynamic environment and building sustainable, high-performing portfolios.
