Shaping the Future of Private Credit
Accessibility
Reflecting on SuperReturn Private Credit Europe earlier this month, it was great to see strong representation from Arrow Global on stage and throughout the conference, with Toni McDermott, Charlotte Gilbert and Gabi Cohen.
Following International Women’s Day 2026, it was particularly encouraging to see senior women contributing to some of the industry’s most important conversations, with Toni sharing her perspective on the continued momentum in asset-backed lending.
Discussions across the event reinforced the strength of demand across private credit, with growing investor focus on asset-backed strategies and differentiating between the operating capabilities of managers with the right set up to access the structural opportunities emerging across Europe’s fragmented mid-market.
As Toni highlighted during the main conference:
“Asset-backed lending is particularly interesting in today’s market because it is diversifying versus corporate direct lending, collateral security brings downside protection, the risk/reward is attractive versus commensurate IG corporate exposure and the size of the addressable market is large, with significant growth potential.
Because asset-backed investing is more granular and much more operational, investors are increasingly focused on the capabilities and experience of managers to source ongoing business and manage tangible collateral and cashflows. We are very selective in the current environment, but we continue to find good opportunities locally in mid-market residential real estate lending, where our local expertise and active management are essential to choosing the right deals and unlocking value.”
