A Manchester-based employee at a leading debt purchaser has won a prestigious national award after being named the leading UK student for 2011 following top marks in an ITC specialist course.
Arrow Global's Anna Madden won the award from the Civil Court Users Association (CCUA) for achieving the highest marks in her ITC Specialist Course in Insolvency and Debt Recovery. The annual award goes to the student achieving the highest mark in the course.
The course is endorsed by the CCUA and Anna was presented with the award on 29th March in Manchester by CCUA Chairman Brian Havercroft who said: "I congratulate Anna for her success and it shows hard work pays dividends. I am delighted that the course is being used by companies such as Arrow Global to help ensure high standards amongst its staff."
Arrow Global's Christine Wilson-Collins, and Anna's manager, also attended the ceremony and said: "We actively support staff development, and we are very proud of Anna's accomplishment. The knowledge gained as a result of the course has added to Anna's expertise, and has further enhanced her contribution to the team and our collective aim of helping our customers to rectify their financial situation."
The ceremony was also attended by Nicola Goodman, Learning and Development Advisor for ILEX Tutorial College.
The ITC Specialist Course in Insolvency and Debt Recovery is a course for legal staff developed by ILEX Tutorial College in collaboration with the Civil Courts Users Association.
The course features specific aspects of the civil litigation procedure which are of particular relevance in the context of personal and corporate insolvency. The course covers undefended debt claims, enforcement, Individual Voluntary Arrangements, bankruptcy, Company Voluntary Arrangements, administration and winding up.
ILEX Tutorial College is wholly owned by The Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx), the professional and representative body for 22,000 trainee and practicing Chartered Legal Executive lawyers across England and Wales.
The Civil Courts Users Association is a membership body and recognised litigation spokesman for the creditor sector.
